An Enchanted Blade overfills. Spirit energy leaves the body as a shape that can be steered, seen through, and charged back into the steel so the bearer can spend techniques empty-handed. Most blades have three named techniques. Magatsumi refuses the three-count. The technique index is the same kit as a table. True Realm (Honryō) is not a transformation gauge. It is the brief, meant: the wielder’s intent locking with the steel until the kit grows an extension. Dark power (Kuroi chikara) is what happens when that lock happens at the edge of death, or when the blade itself is dying. The color goes black. The output jumps. Mei: Shred. Suzaku’s black flames. Magatsumi’s ordinary darkness, because Magatsumi eats vitality as a diet.
Unofficial names the fandom uses are marked with an asterisk where the pages themselves did not print a title. Full blade pages: Enchanted Blades. Contracts: Lifelong Contracts. The essay: True Realm.
Enten 淵天
Bearer: Chihiro Rokuhira. Seventh, post-war, goldfish and water. Made to end the other six, especially Magatsumi. True Realm: Magatsumi’s death.
- Kuro 涅: black goldfish paints arm and edge; flying slash sized to the fish called.
- Kuro: Shred 涅千: many small black fish, many small cuts, more spirit, less strain on the body. The fish can be moved as scouts and tools.
- Aka 猩: red goldfish drinks an attack; speaking Aka plus the absorbed name spends it back for a short window.
- Nishiki 錦: tricolor cloak of dense spirit. Speed, power, and resistance to other Enchanted Blade ailments (Spider, vitality-drain). The design brief, not a fashion layer.
- Nishiki: Support*: wounded form. Supports movement instead of amplifying it. Less strain, still faster than an empty coat.
Magatsumi bisects Enten at the end of Part 1. Black Suzaku stalls disintegration. Chihiro keeps the pieces and writes notes toward a new Enten.
Cloud Gouger 刳雲
Bearers: Ibuki Misaka → Sojo → Chihiro (dying contract). Clouds and cloud-dragons. Bisected by Enten. Residual charges spent at the Rakuzaichi, then gone.
- Mei 鳴: lightning bolt. Can charge; a heavy charge disables Mei for about 10–20 seconds until the bearer understands the sword better.
- Cloaked Mei*: wear the lightning instead of throwing it. Sojo finds this first. Speed like a bolt.
- Mei: Shred 鳴千: Chihiro, blade dying, black lightning. Dark power. Faster and meaner than white cloak.
- Yui 結: ice, instant cages and constructs, amount variable with the point of the blade.
- Kou 降: water or mist. Exists to make Mei a wire and Yui a larger freeze.
Sojo’s True Realm is slaughter, because that was his brief. Chihiro’s last Cloud Gouger is a partner he wants to die well. Same steel. Different lock.
Magatsumi 勾罪 (Shinuchi 真打)
Bearer: Akemura Soga. Proxies: Kyora, then Yura, by overwriting, not by contract. Flowers, black weep, insects. No three-count. Master key of the wartime knot. Bypass: anyone who holds the sheathed blade starts becoming Akemura.
- Spider 蛛: cobweb and eyes. Caught entities cannot move.
- Dragonfly 蜻: wing shapes, directional blast. Hiyuki can mitigate with Flame Bone; blades can block.
- Centipede 蜈: omnidirectional blast from circular structures. Weakest directly behind the wielder.
- Butterfly 蝶: amplified slash through space. A building, then the buildings behind it.
- Bee 蜂: rings, piercing blast widest at the origin and narrowest at the point.
- Malediction 蠱 (Kodoku): extension. True Realm as policy. Vitality drain at national scale, flowers, bloodlust as a targeting reticle. About 200,000 civilians after the treaty. Essay: Malediction.
Yura spends Magatsumi at range through spirit left in the blade, then offers the body. The insect kit is the war. The possession path is the unique clause. After chapter 119, explainers argue Magatsumi copies Ariu Mikaboshi’s insect sorcery. The chapters have not confirmed that.
Kumeyuri 酌揺
Fifth forged. Bearers: Uruha → Hiruhiko → recovered by Ro of the Masumi. Faceless oiran. Hallucination and play. Natsuki was a candidate; Uruha was chosen.
- Banquet 宴: intoxicating hallucinations. Reinforced ears mitigate. Fatal wounds can snap it.
- Play 遊: manipulate nearby objects. Fluency scales with respect for the objects.
- Destructive Play*: Hiruhiko’s extension. He does not respect objects. The upper Kyoto Bloodshed Hotel comes apart.
Uruha’s Crimson Recital (Koen) is not a blade technique. It is the innate art that comes back when Samura cuts the contract and keeps the man. Physical boost. The banquet sword is the job. The recital is the person.
Tobimune 飛宗
Support blade. Bearers: Samura → Iori. Black feathers, wings, flight. Owl at national scale. Chihiro notes it was forged for support.
- Crow 鴉: swap places with a feather. A faint spirit trace lands on the chosen feather first.
- External Crow*: move entities other than Samura and the blade.
- Owl 梟: two giant owl eyes. Detection range versus precision tradeoff. Nationwide, only huge spirit sources ping.
- Suzaku 雀: flames that heal the bearer, burn others, and can coat the blade. After the war Samura advanced this into resurrection: slash with Suzaku, the contract dies, the person walks.
- External Suzaku*: heal others and restore ruined objects, including Tobimune itself.
- Suzaku: Black Flames*: dark power. Samura spends his life. Black fire nullifies Magatsumi’s wide drain long enough for Chihiro to leave. Then Samura dies.
Unnamed wartime two
Two Enchanted Blades still have no printed names. Subaru Urita is a surviving bearer; one war-ensemble portrait is still unnamed. Ibuki is dead and his sword is Cloud Gouger, which is named. When Jump prints the titles, they belong here.
Major innate arts (not blades)
Longer portraits of the arts that stay in the body live on innate sorcery. This list is the short catalog.
- Shiba’s teleport: extraction, infiltration, civilian evacuation. Famous as a teenager. Not a bearer.
- Azami’s Coin (Koin): clinic stimulant rewritten as an executioner’s projectile.
- Hakuri’s Isou and Storehouse: burial-force plus subspace. Dual inheritance, historically almost unique in the Sazanami.
- Hiyuki’s Flame Bone: hereditary skeleton, licensed by the bureau, stood next to Enchanted Blades in the text. Essay.
- Tafuku’s duel domain: two people, one match, then the street returns. Tafuku.
- Natsuki’s Lightning Menace (Raiku): voltage in the body, not Mei. Natsuki.
- Hokuto’s armored puppet: self-resembling armor, piece control. Hokuto.
- Kuguri’s Twilight Wave (Hagure): bank motion and heat, spend later. Kuguri.
- Hiruhiko’s Blood Crane (Chizuru): origami that cuts and lifts. Goes quiet when Kumeyuri is signed.
- Toto’s blood tracking: locate and read through blood. Fire-gate as a habit. Toto.
- Yukisada’s regeneration: survives decapitation; Vessel for the HQ barrier. Yukisada.
- Bingo’s Mako: lion-dancer heads; stacked weight on destroyers; corpse-eating, then sleep. Bingo.
- Uran’s ice: freeze and restrain, including breath. Raid participant. Uran.
- Char’s Kyonagi regeneration: close her own wounds and other people’s. Sojo’s stabilizer hunt.
- Chiaki’s foresight: Princess Soga, inherited proof of Izanami. Chiaki.
- Hiroto Soga’s Kurotsuchi: directional gravity. Killed on Irishima by Ariu Mikaboshi. Hiroto.
- Ariu Mikaboshi’s Sumika: insect constructs, poisoned air, Datenseki-hardened body. The camp that Magatsumi copies him. Ariu.
- Kudo’s Warrior’s Path: send a body through architecture. He spends it on Hakuri. Kudo.
- Izaru’s bead chains: restrict. Leadership table’s prosecutor kit.
- Hagiwara’s Jikai: magnetism. Legs gone. Still in the HQ math. Hagiwara.
- Subaru’s duplication: several Subarus. A contract-opening assassination’s nightmare.
- Mashiro’s Akuu: air pressure, hands-free weapons. Dies later to Ariu. Part 2 still has him alive in the talks. Mashiro.
Iai White Purity is a school, not an innate art. Eyes closed, speed as a religion. See Iai. Datenseki that is not a blade still overfills and pops the user unless Kunishige’s eyes (or a fake, which kills Tenri and Sojo) intervene. See Datenseki.
