A Sword Bearer (Shoyūsha) is anyone on a Lifelong Contract. The steel takes the innate art and leaves weather. The Kamunabi locked the wartime survivors in Sanso after the raid and called that safety. The Hishaku treated the same list as a kill order. Enten sits outside the wartime six; Chihiro is still a bearer. This roster follows the printed pages. Two wartime blades still have no titles. Subaru is one surviving name. The other portrait in the war ensemble is still blank.
The master key is Magatsumi. If Akemura dies, the other five wartime bearers die with him. Destroy Magatsumi and the knot comes apart. Cut the contract without cutting the person, Samura’s Suzaku, and the old art limps back. Those three sentences are the whole politics of Part 1. Contracts: Lifelong Contracts. Wartime six
Akemura Soga, Magatsumi, Shinuchi, Sword Master. The contract is the key. Anyone who holds the sheathed blade starts becoming him. Kyora looked through it dying. Yura spent it at range, then offered a body. Part 1 ends with the basement wearing the leader. File: Akemura. Blade: Magatsumi.
Seiichi Samura, Tobimune, support weather, owl, Suzaku. The Masumi served him until he freed them. He cut Uruha’s contract and kept the man. He signed a private paper with Yura that looked like a Hishaku pact. It was a surgery schedule. Black Suzaku at the end of Part 1 spends his life so Chihiro can leave. Then the daughter inherits the feathers. File: Samura. Blade: Tobimune.
Yoji Uruha, Kumeyuri, fifth forged, banquet and play. Natsuki was a candidate; Uruha was chosen. Crimson Recital stays dark while the contract holds. Hiruhiko takes the blade after Samura’s false death. Ro of the Masumi recovers it at the hotel. File: Uruha. Blade: Kumeyuri.
Ibuki Misaka, Cloud Gouger, original wartime bearer. Hokuto murdered him in the same campaign as the workshop raid so the contract would open. Natsuki is his brother. The state’s first cavalry after the sale is named for this sword. File: Ibuki. Blade: Cloud Gouger.
Subaru Urita, surviving bearer of an unnamed wartime blade. Duplication: several Subarus. The Kamunabi relocate him when the Sanso pattern becomes obvious. A contract-opening assassination’s nightmare. File: Subaru.
The sixth wartime bearer is the unnamed portrait in the war ensemble. When Jump prints the name and the steel, they belong on this list. The public still talks as if there are six Enchanted Blades. They are counting the wartime set and missing the cellar.
After the raid
Genichi Sojo, Cloud Gouger’s customer, not a Hishaku. Yura sold him the weather in early October. True Realm as slaughter. Enten bisects the sword; Sojo dies in the Datenseki backlash of a mineral he could not tame. File: Sojo.
Chihiro Rokuhira, Enten from the first page, then a dying Cloud Gouger at the Rakuzaichi, leftover Mei, then Enten again by joining the Kamunabi. Multiple contracts in one nervous system are legal in this book. Enten’s True Realm is Magatsumi’s death. File: Chihiro. Blade: Enten.
Hiruhiko, Kumeyuri after Senkutsuji, two-handed, Play as demolition. Lost the blade to Samura at the hotel. Blood Crane goes quiet when the contract is signed. File: Hiruhiko.
Iori Samura, Tobimune after her father spends the black flames. The daughter the Masumi sealed so the Hishaku would hunt a man without a child on the board. File: Iori.
Who never signs
Shiba never takes a Lifelong Contract. Teleportation is the practical magic of the series; a contract would take the exit away. Hiyuki’s Flame Bone is inherited, not a blade contract, which is why she can stand next to Enchanted Blades without becoming their employee. Hakuri’s Storehouse is clan sorcery. Kuguri carries an Enchanted Blade without signing it and calls that unrequited love. Azami’s Coin is a clinic art rewritten as an executioner’s projectile. Those people fight next to bearers. They are not on this roster.
The Hishaku’s three-year job was to move names off this list and onto a new contract. Samura’s job was to move names off the list and leave the people walking. Enten’s job is to end the knot that made the list national. Fights where those jobs collide: battles.
Sanso as a filing system
After Ibuki’s murder the Kamunabi put the remaining wartime bearers in boxes. Kokugoku for Uruha. Senkutsuji for Samura. Subaru moved when the pattern became obvious. Akemura is not in a Sanso; he is in a cell under headquarters, because Magatsumi is the master key and a mountain vault is the wrong architecture for a man whose death would kill the other five. The assassination arc is this filing system meeting a method that had three years of practice. Buildings: Sanso.
Chihiro’s post-Rakuzaichi deal assumes the boxes can be used as a circuit. Hakuri registers a bearer and their charged objects. A blade can leave a temple without a siege. The Hishaku’s answer is to hunt the walking room. That is why Kudo dies for Hakuri, and why Uruha walks into headquarters after his contract is already cut.
How to read this roster
A name here is a nervous system, not a title the government can reassign by memo. When the magazine prints a new contract — Iori’s feathers, Hiruhiko’s banquet, Chihiro holding a stump that still spends Mei — the list grows without the old name leaving. Multiple contracts in one body are legal. False deaths are legal until the page retracts them. Absences that are actually graves sit on the death ledger.
