The seventh, Enten, is the house’s answer: a counter-blade forged with the son as a teenager, goldfish because the daily life between them needed a household object. Rooms
The shop floor. Ore, heat, the eyes that made Datenseki safe once. Hokazono talked to a real swordsmith so later smelting would read as work. Part 2’s kiln on Irishima is this room’s homework coming due. Chihiro grew up learning to look at metal the way his father did. The stoicism on Sunday is workshop manners.

The cellar. Six swords that held on an anvil. The Kamunabi wanted them sealed. Kunishige wanted them gone. Enten exists because those two wishes needed a third object. When the Hishaku raid the house, they take the six and miss the seventh. A father built the spare for the son.
The raid
Three years before the present tense. Three Hishaku sorcerers. Kunishige is killed in front of Chihiro. The six wartime blades leave. Enten stays. Uran is already in the workshop that night; Chihiro’s later commute is three years away from her breath and still inside it. Kasen’s leak is why the address was known. The house becomes the crime scene the son keeps walking back into: Tokyo underworld, an auction, a hotel, a train to Irishima. Full file: the raid.
After the house
Cafe Haru Haru is the civilian door Shiba uses when the coat is too loud. The Kamunabi want the remaining blades in Sanso boxes. Chihiro works the underworld with Shiba, then hands Magatsumi to the bureau and keeps Enten by joining them. That is the smith’s son treating the state as a tool the way the state treated his father. By the end of Part 1 he is taking notes for a new Enten, and even a new Cloud Gouger, from the pieces he still holds. The workshop is back in his head before it is back on Irishima as a kiln.
Part 2 returns to the mineral the house was always about. Chiaki Soga, the mother, a princess with foresight. Kunishige before he was a hermit: a picky weapons dealer who had not yet looked at the ore. The cellar was a consequence. The bowl was a choice. The raid made a revenge story. The workshop is why the revenge story keeps naming the father.
