Part 1 runs chapters 1 through 115. “Swordsmith” (刀匠) closes the present tense: Enten in pieces, Samura dead, Akemura loose in the Kamunabi, Chihiro thinking like a smith again. Part 2 opens on chapter 116, “Princess” (姫), and does not stay for the press conference. It goes to Irishima. The Seitei War is not a clip show. It is the talks, the ore, the woman who can see, and the fire that turns a mineral into six national sins and, later, a seventh apology. This page is the Part 2 page for that book. The arc entry is the political frame. The chapter index is the title list. After chapter 126 the serial took an announced rest; 127–129 are the smelting continuing; 130, “I'm Fine!” (30 August 2026), pulls tamahagane from the furnace and puts Chiaki in the room. Volume 12 (4 September 2026, ISBN 978-4-08-885177-8) is expected to close Part 1’s last corridor and open this one on paper. A beginner door: Part 2, the forge door.
How the split works
The title language already told you the present was a prologue. Early chapters are objects and meals. The long book names people, then puts quotation marks on the press’s words: “Strongest,” “Sword Master,” “Heroes.” Part 2 opens on a rank and a place. Princess. The Irishima Talks, four times, then END. Chiaki. Powerless. Smelting. Fire. Smelting again. Ironworks. The book is in the room where the sins are still a proposal. Chihiro has not been born. Enten does not exist. Shiba is still a Soga guardian. Mashiro is still alive. Kunishige is still a picky weapons dealer who barely eats because he will not sell to people he cannot stand.
Give the war its chapters. The useful YouTube caution is twenty to forty chapters of ground. The printed run through 130 is still the talks, the first steel, and one reunion. When a video outruns the magazine, it belongs on the theories page. This entry follows the printed run.
The talks (116–122)
116 Princess. Chiaki Soga, Chihiro’s mother, holder of the Princess Soga title, foresight as inherited proof of Izanami. She and her younger brother Akemura were elevated from a lower branch when the main-line prophetess died without children. The government listens to her because the clan has been the mainland’s warning system for a thousand years. The island in the sea is the old Mikaboshi kings coming back for Datenseki. The talks are what you do when a princess can see a war and a bureau still wants a treaty.
117–121 The Irishima Talks (杁島会談), four numbered pieces and “END.” Japan wants the vein. The Mikaboshi want Irishima and a foothold. Ariu, crown prince, insect sorcery (Sumika), poisoned air, a body that can live with Datenseki. Hiroto and Yoshinojo Soga will die on that island; they are not dead yet in these chapters. Hasumi runs a secret Datenseki lab and is not yet sure Kunishige is the answer. Shiba already is sure. Mashiro, Shiba’s partner, opposes taking stolen ore to a picky smith and will die later anyway. Joji is the annoyed senior at the lab. The negotiation is the war before the blades: what a state will prefer to a living island.
122 Start (始動). The talks end. The process begins. English explainers after 118 and 122 floated paternity rumors; face, eye, and the absence of insect sorcery still point at the smith as Chihiro’s father. The rumor stays a camp here. Kunishige’s eyes are the only printed way to stabilize Datenseki. That is the plot.
Chiaki, powerless, fire (123–126)
123 Chiaki. The princess as a person, not only a title. She is romantically tied to Kunishige. Akemura is her younger brother, not yet the Sword Master, still the friend a smith can trust. Giyu Soga, Hiroto’s ambitious younger brother, is the kind of heir who might accept Mikaboshi demands that include handing Chiaki over. The clan is not a single will. Foresight is a warrant. It is also a hostage tag.
124 Powerless (無力). The word is the bureau’s Datenseki research, the army’s first year, and Kunishige’s civilian smallness before anyone asks him to look at the stone. Hokazono talked to a real swordsmith so the workshop pages would not be cosplay. Powerless is the last honest title before the fire starts lying that a man is a weapon.
125 Smelting (製鉄) and 126 Fire (火). The archive’s smithing manual begins. About 250 kilograms of Datenseki are known in the present; here the vein is still a political object. Unstable, it pops the user. Kunishige’s eyes watch detail until the mineral can be a blade instead of a crater. The goldfish bowl is not on the table yet. The household that will become Enten’s language is still in the future. This is the kiln that will make Magatsumi possible, which will make Malediction possible, which will make Enten necessary. Chapter 126 is why the serial then took a month. Fire is not a metaphor in a smith’s shop.
The rest of the smelting (127–130)
The book returned from rest in August 2026. 127 Smelting, Part 2 (製鉄 弐) and 128 Smelting, Part 3 (製鉄 参) keep the process on the page. The first Enchanted Blade is not a montage. It is labor, failure, heat, and a pair of eyes that can see what the Bureau’s lab cannot. Subaru Urita, prolific smith and sushi chef, is the colleague in the room when the steel finally comes up.
129 Ironworks (製鉄 肆), 23 August 2026. Kunishige at the edge of the process. Flashback inside the flashback: Chiaki has become Princess Soga, distance opens, Shiba tells him not to lose hope. The flames threaten to take the shop. Memories of the worst days arrive first. Then Chiaki arrives as the reason to keep the eyes open. He pushes further. The chapter ends with the fire beginning to settle, the first blade not yet confirmed as finished. Close reading: Ironworks.
130 “I'm Fine!” (「“大丈夫！”」), 30 August 2026, Jump 2026 issue 40. Japan has accepted the Mikaboshi demand to hand Chiaki over; Irishima’s beach, April 1 noon, three days from the shop’s March 29 clock. Akemura is in chains for trying to stop it. A forbidden anesthesia is on her so she will not remember the beach. Kunishige and Shiba interrupt. Two years. Tamahagane, Datenseki allowed to be steel, comes out of a collapsed furnace. Subaru says it will make a terrifying sword. The title is what a princess is supposed to say. What Part 2 is for
To show the war the jackets called heroic before it had heroes. To show Akemura before Malediction as a brother a princess loves and a friend a smith trusts. To show Datenseki as work rather than a boss monster. To show Shiba before teleport-dad, Mashiro before a grave, Hasumi before resignation, the Mikaboshi before they are a theory about Magatsumi’s insects. Chihiro’s revenge was the engine of Part 1. Inheritance is the forge he actually gets. Part 2 is the forge before the inheritance, when the steel is still innocent and the people are not.
Volume 11, Heroes, is snow and goldfish and the Sword Master standing up. Volume 12 is listed to carry “Karma” through “Swordsmith” and then the war book’s first signatures. English editions trail by about nine months. Jacket studies stay on the cover page. The present-tense aftermath (Akemura in the bureau, Iori with Tobimune, Chihiro with pieces) is paused, not cancelled. When Jump cuts back, this page will say so.
