Eleven Jump Comics volumes in Japan as of May 2026; eight English VIZ volumes released or solicited through late 2026. Japanese dates run about nine months ahead of the English ones. Volume extras, Sojo’s bathhouse quest, Soya’s memory gag, live in the tankōbon, not the magazine. Jacket faces and palettes are studied at length on the cover page. The summaries below are the story the spine is holding, not a replacement for the chapters.

Magazine versus the tankōbon

Fandom’s Volume 1 page logs the diffs we can stand behind without inventing later jackets. Chapter 1 is largely the same story, but some panels are expanded in the book and show more of the workshop than the magazine. Many of Char’s Volume 1 panels were redrawn; she looks less scruffy than the weekly pages. Azami’s badge is a later-book clarification. We will add a row here when we have seen a later volume’s own redraw list. We will not invent one from memory.

The tankōbon is also a different object because of extras the magazine does not carry: Genichi Sojo’s Bathhouse Quest (two parts) and Soya Sazanami’s Memories, Begone! Volume summaries

Vol. 01: Mission

Chihiro takes Enten into Tokyo after a sighting. Three years after the raid, he and Shiba work the underworld. Char Kyonagi says she has seen an Enchanted Blade. Madoka, Azami, and Sojo’s first shadow. The bowl is already on the table. Palette: Rusty ruby / asphalt red, white title, Kuro goldfish. The law of the series in one jacket.

Vol. 02: Enten vs. Cloud Gouger

Hospital, Anti-Cloud Gouger Forces, the duel that breaks Kuregumo. Four of the six specialists die. Chihiro loses an arm and finds the True Realm. Sojo chooses Datenseki over a quiet death. Hokazono has named this fight as his favorite so far. Palette: Night steel vs storm cyan; blood on black. The first extra hue on a red-black book.

Vol. 03: Knight of Darkness

Hiyuki arrives. The Sazanami estate. Shinuchi is listed at the 208th Rakuzaichi. Enten is surrendered on purpose so the seventh blade can scout the Storehouse on its own charge. Palette: Flame-orange against auction green-black. Chihiro, Hiyuki, Kyora.

Vol. 04: Equal

Hakuri awakens Isou and Storehouse. The discarded son was scattering his own spirit energy; when he chooses Chihiro, the architecture answers. Yura at the auction. Tenri dies on a half-stable Datenseki stone trying to impress Kyora. Palette: Two figures, storehouse dusk. The title is the relationship the clan refused to grant.

Vol. 05: Fervent

Storehouse war. Chihiro spends the last of Cloud Gouger to take Enten back. Kyora touches Magatsumi. The Sword Master looks through an auctioneer’s eyes. Hiyuki and Chihiro keep the building from becoming a second island. Chihiro gives the Kamunabi Magatsumi and keeps Enten by joining them. Palette: Crowded jacket, Shinuchi heat.

Vol. 06: Daybreak

A Sanso is attacked. Train to Kokugoku, kabuki house, Senkutsuji. Hiruhiko boards. Hakuri returns Tobimune to Samura, who clears the temple and then cuts Uruha down. Suzaku: kill the contract, keep the man. Palette: Yin-yang bearers, Chihiro vs Hiruhiko in the blood center.

Vol. 07: Night Battle

The false deaths. Owl over Japan. Operation: Easy Does It. The Masumi take Iori toward the Kyoto Bloodshed Hotel. Chihiro starts copying Iai. Palette: Night blue, sunglasses, hotel dark. Samura, Chihiro, Iori.

Vol. 08: Dawn

Iori’s past. The seal frays because she still loved him and breaks when she shields a classmate. Malediction spoken aloud. Hiruhiko wrecks the hotel with Play. Samura walks into the duel. Palette: Hotel silhouette under Owl. Chihiro, Iori, Hiruhiko.

Vol. 09: Enten

Enten vs Tobimune. Chapter 83 says Kunishige’s brief cleanly: the seventh blade is a retraction. Its True Realm is Magatsumi’s death. Samura opens his eyes. The title and the sword are the same word. Palette: Single-figure Enten jacket. An icon, not a cast photograph.

Vol. 10: The Swordsmen

Kasen’s leak is on the table. HQ infiltration. Uruha walks again. Yura starts spending Shinuchi at range. Yukisada sits in the barrier. The wartime kit is no longer a rumor in a cellar. Palette: Four-man war ensemble, Natsuki, Hokuto, Uruha, Yura.

Vol. 11: Heroes

Yukisada, the vessel, the cell. The Sword Master stands up in Yura. The chapter index puts quotation marks on “Heroes” for a reason. The press already used the word. Palette: Snow white, Aka and Kuro, Enten raised. Part 1’s last icon before the corridor.

Volume 12 (4 September 2026, ISBN 978-4-08-885177-8) is expected to close Part 1 (chs. 106–115) and open the war book. “Karma” through “Swordsmith,” then Irishima. English Volume 10 and 11 are still TBD. The chapter index is the authority if a collected edition shifts a chapter. The arc map is the story in four movements instead of eleven spines.
