Customer, not Hishaku
Yura sells Cloud Gouger to Genichi Sojo in early October. Sojo is an arms dealer and a Cloud Gouger customer. He is not Hishaku. Recaps that start the blade with him are doing Ibuki Misaka’s grave a disservice. Ibuki was Samura’s equal in the war, retired, and was murdered by Hokuto so the Lifelong Contract would open.
Chapters 9 through 18 are Enten against Cloud Gouger. Mei, cloaked Mei, Yui, Kou. True Realm enters the vocabulary in chapter 14. Sojo’s Cloud Gouger “gains slaughter.” Enten bisects the sword. Sojo dies trying to fake Kunishige’s eyes with Datenseki. Volume 2’s jacket is this fight. Hokazono has named it the favorite fight he has drawn so far.
What the fan missed
The Anti-Cloud Gouger Special Forces die in the same city doing the state’s version of the job. Chihiro keeps Char off the table. The goldfish stay a household even when the coat is black. Sojo found cloaked Mei. He did not invent weather. He was the worst reader of a sword that already had a brief.
Volume extras later pack him into a bathhouse quest next to a Datenseki suicide. The customer is a Volume 2 problem. The contract-opening is a Hishaku method. See Sojo, the worst fan, and customer, not clan.
