Things

Objects

The furniture the plot has to keep: a bowl, a mineral, a warehouse, a knot in the nerves.

Enchanted Blades have their own encyclopedia. This page is everything else the book treats as an object: ore, rooms that are also weapons, contracts, tattoos, a bowl that is a fighting language before it is a mascot. Longer files sit behind the names.

The bowl

Three goldfish on the Rokuhira table before anyone calls Kuro. Furniture first. The techniques inherit the household. Page: the bowl. Craft: goldfish, not koi.

Datenseki

The mineral. Unstable, it pops the user. Kunishige’s eyes were the only known way to make it into a blade instead of a crater. Sojo and Tenri both die trying to fake that. Irishima’s vein is why Japan went to war. Page: Datenseki. Island: Irishima.

Enchanted Blades

Seven katanas cut from that ore. Spirit energy leaves the body as a shape. Magatsumi is Shinuchi, the masterpiece listed at the 208th Rakuzaichi. Enten is the seventh, forged as a counter. Encyclopedia: the blades. Kit: techniques.

The cellar

Kunishige spent years trying to smash the wartime six on an anvil that would not take them. Chihiro grew up over that room. The raid empties it. The workshop is the moral unit. Page: the workshop.

Lifelong Contract

Binds a blade to one nervous system and shuts the bearer’s innate sorcery off. Magatsumi’s contract is the master key: if Akemura dies, the other five wartime bearers die with him. Samura’s Suzaku cuts the knot and keeps the person. Page: contracts.

The Storehouse

Sazanami subspace. Kyora’s warehouse. Hakuri inherits it and can register a person and their charged objects and move Enchanted Blades across the country. The auction house is two centuries of crime; the Kura is the actual building. Page: Storehouse.

Fire-gate and flame tattoos

Hishaku kit. Ten criminal sorcerers. The tattoo is the visible contract; the gate is the clause for jobs that go wrong in someone else’s building. Toto prefers it to the cut. Page: fire-gate. Org: Hishaku.

Other named kit

Flame Bone of the Starving, Hiyuki’s inherited skeleton, a Kamunabi permission slip. Essay: Flame Bone.

Iori’s seal, Masumi work that kept Samura’s daughter off the board until the hotel. Masumi veils, the same clan’s stealth. Masumi.

Cloud Gouger’s stump, the leftover Chihiro spends at the Rakuzaichi after Sojo dies. A dead blade can still hold a few charges.

Tenri’s Datenseki tool, half-stable, jellyfish, then the pop. The lesson Part 2 is smelting in public.

The Shinuchi listing, auction-house paperwork that treats Magatsumi as a lot. The 208th is that piece of paper made into a week.
