The Storehouse

The auction was a building. Hakuri is the building that walks. That single trick is why the Kamunabi keep Chihiro and why the Hishaku hunt the discarded son.

The Storehouse (蔵, Kura) is the Sazanami head’s subspace. For more than two hundred years it has been the actual architecture of the Rakuzaichi: loot, prisoners, weather as environmental control, a cemetery portal, a room you cannot siege from the street. Kyora, eleventh head, used it as civilization. Hakuri, discarded son, inherited it when he stopped scattering his own spirit energy and remembered a woman the auction killed. In clan history almost no one holds both Isou and the Storehouse. Hakuri does. Dual inheritance is not a trophy. It is logistics. Bearers can be un-armed and re-armed without a mountain war. Magatsumi can be hidden when Yukisada splits a government barrier. Tobimune can return to Samura at Senkutsuji because a boy who was told he was empty can put a sword in a temple.

Storehouse-as-Kamui is the lazy comparison the weekend lists like. The interesting version is inheritance: two centuries of market compressed into one nervous system the family had already thrown away. Kyora’s version includes environmental control inside the Kura. Hakuri’s version is the one that leaves the building. When the 208th ends, the Storehouse vanishes as an auction house and continues as a person. That is the joke and the thesis. A firm that warehoused people produced a person who is a warehouse.

How it is used

Registration: a person and their spiritually charged possessions. Movement: blades across the country. The Kamunabi’s post-Rakuzaichi deal with Chihiro assumes this circuit. Hand Magatsumi to the state. Keep Enten. Keep Hakuri. Sanso fortresses become boxes you can reach into instead of boxes you have to storm. The Hishaku’s answer is to hunt the walking room. Kudo dies for Hakuri in headquarters because both sides’ maps have a moving closet on them. Uruha, contract cut, walks into that raid to keep the closet alive.

Yukisada’s barrier is the later exam. Regeneration past decapitation cannot be stabbed into a solution. The solution is Storehouse: remove the Kamunabi vessel from the split. Do not win a duel with a seventeen-year-old who is also architecture. The auction trick, spent on a government building. See Yukisada and Kamunabi.

Chihiro once surrendered Enten on purpose so the seventh blade could scout the Kura on its own charge. A sword with a household brief, walking a warehouse that thinks people are inventory. He later spends Cloud Gouger’s last charges to take Enten back. Kyora, dying, touches Magatsumi and almost becomes someone else. He dies as himself long enough to admit what he did to Hakuri. The Storehouse is the room all of those sentences happen in. Full movement: Rakuzaichi.

Storehouse, fire-gate, Sanso

The Storehouse is a clan property that became a boy. Lifelong Contracts stay on Enchanted Blades; Hakuri inherited a subspace and gained the art the family called empty. The Hishaku fire-gate is a shared tattoo door. Sanso is the state’s box. The Storehouse is the crime’s box, then the discarded son’s box. Three rooms, three jobs. Recaps that keep them distinct can still follow the Rakuzaichi.

The Tou (Soya, Tenri, Tamaki, Enji) defended the auction. Tenri dies on Datenseki trying to impress the head of the building. Soya loses when the building answers someone else. Enji asks to die and is told to raise what is left. The Storehouse is a tool that finally found a user who kept names.

Why the homepage points here

The architecture has its own page because Part 1’s second half is not only swords. It is a moving room. Part 2’s kiln is a different kind of room. Readers who skip from Enten to Irishima without the Kura will not understand why the Kamunabi ever let Chihiro keep a blade. Official chapters: VIZ / MANGA Plus.
