What Jump actually prints

A typical Weekly Shōnen Jump color opening is a full-bleed illustration plus a typeset logo, used when a series is leading the issue or celebrating a volume. Kagurabachi’s color pages lean on the same triad as the jackets: Chihiro’s black coat, a red field or blood geometry, and a goldfish that is either Kuro-black or Aka-red. Snow and gold show up when Enten is being iconic rather than narrative (Volume 11; the 2026 anime teaser).

Chapter 1’s opening is the workshop and the raid in the same breath, the bowl and the Hishaku already sharing a color page. Chapter 8 is Sojo’s book opening in color before the duel has a name. Chapter 9 is the first Enten vs Cloud Gouger page, the one the Sojo essay calls two readers in one panel. Chapter 14 is True Realm entering the vocabulary. Chapter 18 is “Roar,” Kuregumo ending in the palette the crater earned. Chapter 19 lists Shinuchi. Chapter 23 is Hiyuki on the auction pages. Chapter 44 is the curtain. Chapter 47 opens the long book on Uruha’s train. Chapter 60 is the elevator English videos still pause. Chapter 83 is Enten’s brief. Chapter 113 is the island.

English YouTube treats those frames as a greatest-hits reel. The archive logs them as citations, not a reader. The rest of the stills the theories page pauses, True Realm, Roar, the elevator, the island, live in both places on purpose. Official chapters remain on VIZ and MANGA Plus. A color opening in the magazine is not a license to host the chapter.

If you own the volume, the legal “pull” is the book in your hands. This site will describe the page, not replace it. Buy the Jump Comics / VIZ edition; do not send us scans.

Spine & printing notes

Japanese Jump Comics spines for the series run a dark field with the カグラバチ logotype. A shelf of the first eleven volumes reads as a red-to-black bar, useful if you are collecting for the same reason Kanzenshuu collects spine art. English VIZ spines follow VIZ’s current Jump trade dress; they are a parallel object, not a color-matched set.

Interior color sometimes reprints in the tankōbon and sometimes does not. Early Sojo clash pages keep cyan lightning against red type, which is Volume 2’s jacket argument in the magazine first. Volume announcement colors tend to repeat the jacket faces: Chihiro and Kuro on the Volume 1 lead, the crowded auction cast when 5 is coming, snow when 11 needs an icon. Promo and anime stills are a third object. Cypic’s teaser puts Aka, Kuro, and Nishiki behind Chihiro and Enten. Hokazono’s commemorative illustration around the anime announcement is the author’s own color page outside the weekly. The table above is how we log a pull without becoming a scan dump.

Buy the Jump Comics or VIZ edition for the real page. The cover studies are the jackets. The goldfish page is why the fish are not carp. The theories page is where the paused frames go to argue.
