Overview
Hajime Kugara is one of the six. Iron body. Mask. Childhood friend of Ikuto Hagiwara since age five. The Anti-Cloud Gouger Special Forces exist because Cloud Gouger in Sojo’s hands was a national problem. Four of the six die at the compound. Kugara is named among the dead. Hagiwara loses both legs and later hallucinates this face. The book will not let the commander keep his legs or his friend. It lets him keep the face as a wound.
He is not Kazane. The newest member loses an arm before her secret weapon is the scene. He is not Harima, Uzuki, Kasahara, kit in a line. He is the friend inside the unit, which is a different cruelty than “newest” or “commander.” You practiced weather together from childhood. Weather does not care.
Iron
An iron body is the matching piece a bureau would staff against lightning and rain. Sojo is not weather. Sojo is a fan who spends specialists the way he spends praise for a dead smith. Mei does not check the roster for childhood friends. True Realm arrives in the same fight on Chihiro’s side. Kugara’s iron does not get a brief, meant. It gets a grave. The ACG page is the roster. This page is the friend so the hallucination later has a file, not a caption.
The leftover face
Chapter 98 is “Ikuto Hagiwara, Worthless Commander.” The leftover still works headquarters when Yukisada holds the barrier. Magnetism is not regeneration. The hallucination is Kugara. Institutions keep their damaged specialists. They also keep the dead in the specialist’s eye. Vs. Sojo taught that a named unit is not a True Realm.
