Kokugoku Hot Spring Sanso is the Kamunabi box around Yoji Uruha after the raid. The Kokugoku Steam Squad guards it. Hishaku-hired Datenseki troops hit first. The squad beats them. Then Hiruhiko arrives. Blood Crane, mercenaries, a train, a kabuki house. The Steam Squad dies. Chapter 48 is titled for them. Uruha is already being moved when the box’s purpose ends.
Why a hot spring
Sanso are boxes. This one is a spring because the state still pretends a bearer can live somewhere that looks like rest. Fushimi’s Smoke Axe is the named art that proves the first wave was real.
