The Kokugoku Steam Squad is the Kamunabi guard on Uruha’s hot-spring Sanso. Fushimi is the named specialist: Smoke Axe, cuts with smoke between the hands, bandana. They beat Hishaku-hired Datenseki troops. Hiruhiko is the second wave. The squad dies. Chapter 48 is titled for them. That is how the bureau spends specialists: a name, a win, a grave.
