The series title is カグラバチ, Kagurabachi, written in katakana. Readers split it as kagura (神楽), the Shinto sacred dance, and bachi (罰 or 撥): punishment, divine retribution, or the stick that strikes a drum. The English fandom and Japanese comment sections have run that reading since 2023. Hokazono’s interviews talk Hollywood Japan, goldfish, and swords. They do not hand us a classroom etymology we can treat as a chapter fact.

We keep the katakana. We do not pretend the title is a technique name. Enchanted Blades have kanji the book prints. The magazine title is a sound.
