The shop
Hinao runs Cafe Haru Haru. She brokers sorcerers. Shiba uses the shop as a civilian door so Chihiro’s coat does not have to be a siren. For three years after the raid, the Tokyo underworld is the map. Char’s sighting, Madoka’s confirmation, Sojo’s compound: the city is the first book. The cafe is where the book sits down.
Meals are method. A Good Meal, Food, Tea, Peace. Hinao is not a wartime bearer and not Kamunabi. She is why the hunt has a place that is not a Sanso or a hotel. The Masumi later make Chihiro eat for a different reason. The cafe was first.
After the first book
The long book leaves Tokyo for boxes, temples, and a hotel. The cafe remains the civilian door this desk files under world. Shiba can teleport. He still needs a chair that is not a government chair. See Hinao and the cafe.
