The older job
Before Cafe Haru Haru, before the Tokyo underworld, Shiba is a Soga guardian. Chiaki is Princess Soga. The Irishima talks are Part 2’s opening property. Shiba believes in Kunishige’s eyes. He is also assigned to a woman whose foresight is inherited proof of Izanami. Those are not the same brief, and he holds both.
Mashiro is still opposed to stealing ore for a civilian. The guardian sits between a clan, a bureau becoming an army, and a dealer who has not looked at the ore. Chihiro will later know Shiba as the man who would not let him hunt alone. The talks show the earlier version of that refusal.
The present coat
Part 2 does not stay only with Chihiro. It puts Shiba back on the island with the princess and the kiln. The son’s coat and the guardian’s older job share a book. See the talks and Shiba.
