The split
After the Malediction, Kunishige confiscates the six swords and hides with Azami and Shiba. Shiba leaves the Kamunabi. Azami stays inside. That is not a loyalty score. It is two ways to keep a smith alive in a state that will later leak his address.
Azami warns Chihiro off Sojo. The pointed end of the bureau is Hiyuki. The leak is Kasen. Azami is the director-shaped adult who wanted blades sealed and still could not stop a mailing. Volume 11’s jacket argument includes a man spending himself against Magatsumi while the leak is already stationery.
Capital
Kudo later dies in the same building Azami stayed to influence. The political capital is not abstract. It is bodies and rooms. Kunishige’s workshop was supposed to be unlisted. Three Hishaku arrived anyway. See Azami and the leak.
