The seal
Seiichi Samura erases Iori’s memories so the fastest bearer does not come with a civilian handle. The Masumi, Ro, Moku, Sumi, keep that job moving: child-look recovery, meals, markers, a motorcycle map. Chapter 62 names her. The car chase is cargo. The hotel is where the seal meets a classmate willing to be a shield.
Ikura breaks the logic of the seal by being someone Iori chooses to protect. Samura arrives to a city that holds his daughter again. Owl has already made Japan a room. Feathers in a hotel are the family version.
The last send
Black Suzaku spends Samura’s life and sends Tobimune to Iori. The Lifelong Contract’s ugly math is that someone has to hold the steel. The father who erased her so she would not be a handle makes her a bearer in the last accounting. Chihiro is in the same book copying the draw that made the accounting possible.
