Kagurabachi is a dark fantasy shonen manga series written and illustrated by Takeru Hokazono. It has been serialized in Shueisha’s Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine since September 2023, and is currently ongoing. Viz Media and Manga Plus are publishing the series in English.

The story follows Chihiro Rokuhira, the son of a renowned blacksmith capable of forging unique swords. Chihiro dreams of one day becoming a great swordsmith himself, but his life is turned upside down when a gang of sorcerers attack his home and assassinate his father.

Chihiro vows revenge, and takes up his father’s seventh and final blade, the Kagurabachi. The Kagurabachi is a powerful sword that is infused with magic, but it also comes with a curse. Anyone who uses the Kagurabachi will eventually be consumed by its power.

Chihiro sets out on a journey to find the sorcerers who killed his father and exact his revenge. Along the way, he meets a variety of interesting characters, including a mysterious swordsman named Haru, a young girl named Sakura who is also seeking revenge, and a group of mercenaries who are willing to help Chihiro for the right price.
